It’s official, my countdown is now totally on!! I am beyond excited to be heading to Coachella this year { remember the promise I made my self last year } along with various other spots along the Californian coast line. A bit of a dream trip many years in the making. We’ll have one night in LA and, if I had it my way { well technically I do, I just don’t have the outfit } here’s what I would be wearing –
Wouldn’t it be nice to imagine days spent lazing around the library in a big leather club chair; reading your favourite books, sipping on a coffee, making endless lists…? I wish!
Snowed in over the weekend, I did just finish up one of my new favorites { a major tearjerker } The Fault In Our Stars. SUCH an amazing book. I highly recommend this young-adult love story. In fact, I highly recommend anything by author John Green. xx
While the heat keeps going strong my mind is already moving on to a crisp cool autumn. Most likely because it happens to be my favorite season and my favorite wardrobe! As soon as it cools down, this look is a must try … that is if I can finally get the Zoe Karssen sweatshirt online, it’s always sold out!
Favorite New York Moment: Do I have to name just one?… falling in love with a city for the first time, living on my own (with bff Lauren Scruton) for a summer while attending Parsons, getting engaged and celebrating with my family at Balthazar…
Where to stay: The next hotel that I want to stay at in Manhattan (we generally try to check out something new every second or third visit) is the Crosby Street Hotel. A member of Firmdale Hotels, and their first property outside of London, it is situated on a quiet cobbled street in the heart of New York’s vibrant SoHo neighbourhood between Prince and Spring. It is comprised of 86 bedrooms and suites over 11 floors, each with high ceilings, full length windows and individually designed (no two are alike!)
Where to eat: Well there are plenty of restaurants that I could recommend but my tried, tested and true favorite has to be the Stanton Social. Close runners up include …
What to bring: If you’re heading to the big apple during the cooler season you’ll need a comfortable pair of boots, warm jacket, light vest, mix & match pieces and some party dresses!
When I am not busy planning my fantastic adventure through South Africa my mind is busy thinking of the next destination. For me – right now at least – that’s Uruguay…
What beach: Punta del Este, Uruguay
Where to stay: A destination for South America’s most glamorous crowd since the 1950’s, Punta del Este, with is laidback Uruguayan spirit, was the location chosen by the Fasano Family for its first venture outside of Brazil. The hotel Fasano Las Piedras. Set in the hillsides of La Barra, with breathtaking views of the coastline and with one of the most spectacular sunsets of the Uruguayan coast.
What to bring: Sunnies, beach bag and the Kitsuné Maison Compilation which is a perfect mix for lazy afternoons. And you’ll need an outfit or two for the glitzy nightlife in stylish Jose Ignacio.
Sometimes its fun to do some online window-shopping don’t you think? While I am trying to save my pennies I can still enjoy browsing online and sharing my finds. The weekend is coming to a close – a busy week lies ahead – and I am trying to rest up a little more to fight this darn cold. I know that I said I would do a movie post, and it probably would have been appropriate since the TIFF is closing up for another year tonight, but I will leave that for later this week, as I will have to get my list in order. Have a lovely week lovies.
