here we go
Trying to get geared up for a refresh / renewal / come back… it’s been a tough 6 months or so to get in the head space for blogging; with moving around and waiting for renovations to be done. The good news is we’ll be moving into our house very soon so I’ll be able to set up my space for blogging and get back into it with full force. I know it’s a lame excuse, but I’ve always been someone who needs everything organized and all the proper ‘equipment’ before I can dive into something. A few things that I’ll have to go back and cover are photos from my amazing adventure in Morocco { from October, can you believe how time flies !! } and some before ~ inspiration ~ during ~ after photos of the house! Eep, I simply can not wait. In the mean time, I stumbled across this video by Aimee Song. I really enjoy following her blog and Instagram and I thought this was a great little vid. My favourite part –
Always learning and growing is a great place to be. Looking forward to getting back at it { now, how many times have I said that! } so stay tuned!!

the weekly four no.01
Easy does it… It’s been a while, OK a long while. But I am determined to find the time to dedicate to the A&O. I must! I’ve been wrapped up in travelling, both professionally / personally (Paris & Alsace / Morocco & London ) so there will be much more to come on that soon. Mixed in with all of that has been a lot of renovation madness which, at times, can be so much fun and, at other times, can cause a fair amount of stress. Learning to work with it is an exercise in patience that’s for sure!
Anyways, here we go… a new project for weekly inspiration – on a Monday – to start the week off motivated and creatively charged!

long weekendz
back at it
Gosh, it’s been a while now! I had planned to get a better posting schedule over the summer but who knew how busy it would be. The most exciting { time consuming } thing has been that we bought a house… Eep! We are so excited and now in the process { of selling our condo } of thinking about design. Which means that I am totally focused on that right now when ever I’m online searching for images and inspiration. We’re working with a design co. that’s having us do homework assignments which include picture essays { totally up my alley } and above are some of the images that I have collected to let them know my idea of the perfect home. What else. Oh, my class at OCAD in fabric arts and natural dye was a great learning experience. And it’s exciting to think I’ll actually have a space to try it out at home soon ; )
Happy Weekend! xx

in your space: jessie webster
I love this sneak peak inside the Silver Lake home of Jessie Webster via Design*Sponge. Jessie Wesbter is a kick-ass photographer specializing in lifestyle and interiors. She’s also the woman behind the blog Sweet Thing where she shares photography as well as her love for fashion and interior design.
Silver Lake was one of my favourite neighbourhoods in the Los Angeles area and Jessies home & decor make me love it even more! I am defintley going to keep her quote in mind:
“what I love most about my home is the original charm.”
I think that is something that’s easy to forget, yet so simple to incorporate when developing you homes style. xx

I’m really trying to put more of a home-grown spin on here at the a&o. So how perfect is this? Every second Sunday of the month, and starting tomorrow, The Junction Flea!
