Working away at a class project entitled tabula rasa – meaning blank slate – I am drawn to images of blankness. And by blankness I actually mean filled up mostly with a certain colour – WHITE. Sometimes all a room needs is that blank canvas. The blanker the better. I think there is a certain calmness in these rooms.
White is a colour, the perception of which is evoked by light that stimulates all three types of color sensitive cone cells in the human eye in nearly equal amounts and with high brightness compared to the surroundings. A white visual stimulation will be void of hue and grayness *
OK, so maybe it’s the fact that I remembered it’s Nuit Blanche this weekend or that I am listening to Oh Land (as usual) White Nights or maybe it’s that darn tabula rasa …but what ever the case I am glad that it’s brought me to these peaceful images.
Have a good night xx
